Mixed Greensome Open 2024 Rules

1) The Tournament will be open to all amateur golfers with current handicaps who are members of recognised clubs. The maximum handicap allowed will be 28 for men and 36 for women.

2) The Tournament will be a green some competition, played in accordance with the Rules of Golf, as approved by The Royal & Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews, and in accordance with Local Rules. It is expected that all competitors will conform to all Rules and Regulations currently in force.

3) Online entry will open on Monday 1 January 2024 at 10am and payment will be required when making the booking

The entry fee is £40 per couple which includes soup and sandwiches for both players.

4) One round of the course will be played, with a handicap allowance of 60% of higher and 40% of lower handicaps . This will be a Stableford competition.
Play will commence at 0930 hrs.
There will be seven Handicap Prizes and one Scratch prize, to values shown below

1st £200.00; 2nd £150.00; 3rd £100.00; 4th £80.00; 5th £70.00; 6th £60.00.
Scratch: £70.00
Competitors may not win handicap and scratch prizes.
The winning Handicap Partnership will have their names inscribed on the Beddows Trophies.

5) A PRIZE GIVING WILL NOT BE HELD ON THE DAY.

6) Start times will be published on our website the week before the competition www.longniddrygolfclub.co.uk
Courtesy of the course for a practice round will NOT be available.

7) In the event of a tie, positions will be decided on the best inward half; the best last 6; the best last 3 and thereafter by such method the Tournament Committee decide. Committee's decision shall be final.

8) Caddies are not permitted.

9) Refunds up to 72hrs before the event.
